WHAT DOES STAFFING AT YWAM ASHEVILLE LOOK LIKE?

Staff members at YWAM Asheville are each involved in almost every aspect of ministry we do. We have separate departments, but we operate as one team. YWAM Asheville staff members will have the option to be a part of our anti-trafficking work, ministering to nomads and travelers, staffing DTS and secondary courses, and more! Staffing at YWAM Asheville means belonging to a family of missionaries, living in and enjoying an amazing city, and sharing Jesus locally and globally.

REQUIREMENTS

Staff members are required to have completed a DTS and the SOMD.

Do I have to live on campus?

We highly value community living.

Our single staff are asked to live in our staff housing. We have a house for male staff and a different house for female staff.

Families, or staff with children, can explore separate housing on a case by case basis.

Are staff paid?

YWAM does not pay its staff. Most of our staff meet their financial needs by partnering with friends and churches who support their ministry.

One of YWAM’s values is practicing dependence upon God, in all areas of life, including financial provision. It is our desire to serve God with our talents, time, and lives with no expectation of payment. This requires us to depend upon the body of Christ to support us as we contribute to the completion of the Great Commission. If you’d like to know more about how to raise support, please click here.

Can I have another job while I staff at YWAM Asheville?

Being a member of YWAM Asheville’s staff team is a full-time commitment. While you are on staff with us, we ask that you give your total attention to your YWAM responsibilities.

How do I join staff?

Upon completing the Foundational Leadership Course (FLC), you are invited to pursue a position as a YWAM Asheville staff member! Your course leaders will walk you through this process during the FLC.
