At YWAM Asheville, we truly value quality food and take pride in providing our staff and students with well-prepared meals. The better you eat, the more you are able to focus, learn, and participate!  Each day begins with a self-serve breakfast at home before heading downtown for lectures and ministry. At the classroom, students have access to coffee and tea, along with a mid-morning snack. After morning lectures, lunch is served.

All meals are prepared from scratch by our rotating kitchen staff. Dinner locations vary by day, but most meals are shared in a church fellowship hall near student housing. We are able to accommodate most dietary allergies and restrictions.

Meals FAQ

Can I make my own meals?

You are free to purchase and bring your own snacks, but you are asked to participate in community meals.

Allergy Information

We are able to accommodate most true allergies and non–life-threatening sensitivities. While all meals are prepared in a shared kitchen, our staff uses clean surfaces and utensils to safely prepare allergy-friendly food when needed. During DTS, we ask that requests for separate meals be limited to medical needs and not personal preferences.

Birthdays

We love birthdays! If your birthday falls during DTS lecture phase you will be celebrated by your staff and students, probably over a lunch break, with a card, time of prayer, and a treat! If your birthday is during outreach phase, you will be celebrated in a unique way, depending on your location and team's schedule, but celebrated nonetheless!
